Hey I just got my Expo acceptance letter in the mail yesterday to show my tractor. This is the first time I've attended an Expo so I'm new to this. Now I've got to find a place to stay. Could any of you make any recommendations on places to stay around the Waterloo area? I'll have my wife and 8 year old son with me. We'd really like to find a place that offers something for him in the way of entertainment (i.e. swimming, etc.) but won't be picky if we can just find a place close to the showgrounds. Thanks for any feedback and also look forward to meeting some of you that I see on this board from time to time.

Yes, the JD Expo is open to everyone. If you have a JD (tractor, L&G, implement) bring it along. If not, come and see some of the finest. Shop in the flea market or attend some of the seminars. Book your room early as there is a lot of things going in the area.

Go to www.mapquest.com. You will need to find your route there any way, at the bottom of the page there will be a link that has motels. Click on that it will show you all the motels in the area. There are lots of places to stay in and around Waterloo. There is a water park on the southside of Highway 20, close to highway #218. Will be at expo also, but most likely drive home at nite.

This is open to the general public, right? I subscribe to TC, but I assume that's not even necessary to get in. Can anyone attend the whole thing?
