I have a picture posted the parts and pieces section. Check it out, see if you can tell me what it is. I'd appreciate it, Jim in PA

Jim,

I agree with F-I-T. It's a P819A Implement Mast Bracket, the one most commonly used. It's used with various plows, bar tools, bedders, cultivators, ditchers, harrows, rotary hoes, pan breakers, and planters. It's bolted to the mast on a piece of 3pt equipment and along with an Evener Bar that it hooks to, it allows you to hook up to the 800/801 version of a top link.
They're on eBay from time to time selling for $40 up to $175.

800 Series Hitch Mast Bracket in reply to Jim in PA, 04-02-2007 08:55:50

Take a look at some of Dean's 800 series hitch pics and you will see where the mast bracket goes on top center of plow. Scroll down to parts catalog or pics of mast brackets to see about 11 of 17 of them made.

That's the top piece that you bolt to a three point implement mast to allow it to couple to the evening bar on a JD '50's era 800/801 hitch. I think some call it a "horse head".

There were different ones with slightly different lengths and such. Someone will have the part number and application for you, but that's what it is.

Frank
