This is a wonderful message board and I hope some one will help me out with this. I have a 37 unstyled A with a broken PTO casting # B1679R on it. Is this the correct piece for this tractor or did they not have a casting with the 4 corner holes to hold a shield. What is the proper casting to have on this tractor? Thanks,John

That should be the correct part number for an unstyled "A" with a 1 1/8" pto shaft. Most of them have had the "ears" broken off which makes it hard to mount a master shield. You might find a good used one somewhere but Detwilers has reproduced that part, so they are available . Good luck.
