Anyone got any ideas on how to remove Moisture Condensation in 4020 Power shift tranny . This oil has to be changed twice a year and rarely do I use over 100 hrs a year . A while back on another forum , Someone suggested using RED BOTTLE gas line alcohol , However I have been cautioned that alcohol can ruin the seals. All thoughts welcome ,, Thanx Jim

Maybe pick different, dryer or better spot to park it? Using JD oil or what? Check the filler cap too to make sure gasket is okay but hole is in it and cap vents not plugged up. May need to put another vent on the filler pipe instead? Pressure washing it a lot and gaskets pushed in someplace like top of trans cover or why is so much water getting in it?

it's called cold weather there texas. read:condensation. humidity, etc. up north here it's a huge problem when she don't get hot enough for long enough to evaporate the water out, & even then you'll get some. alcohol (red) keeps it from freezing great & not sure about seals but yellow alcohol very bad for everything.

I understand the condensation thing. Texas is a big state you know and not all of it is dry dry and down south they have same problems. Heck it went from 32 here the other morning to 78 in afternoon and you think that doesn't make things sweat and moisture run off things during daylight with sun shining even? Alcohol of wrong kind can shrink and ruin seals and gaskets. That's why many other automotive carbs get ruined with alcohol mixes ruining the porous phenolic floats and shrinking gaskets so why wouldn't it do the same in a transmission?
