Ok Yall, I throw this "Opinion" out at my Mag Seminars and will do the same here lookin for discussion. I say since (and assuming) we use gas versus low octane slow burning Distillate or so called Drip Fuel/Tractor Fuel nowadays, theres no reason why one should use a 35 degree drive cup on our Wico C n X Mags (I had Glen install a 25 on mine (

Wico Bulletin on Drive Cup in reply to John T, 04-14-2007 04:55:24
Ok, This Wico sales bulletin from 1950 shows the 25º long lug drive cup that is no longer available at this time. Note the 1950 price of $4.00 was marked out and won't apply now days. How many of you knew about this drive cup or have it on your mags now? Why didn't JD push it? This drive cup WILL fit more than the JD D and can be used on all letter series JDs with a long lug drive mag if you want 25 degrees on impulse.

Do you want 25 deg. Drive Cups ??? in reply to John T, 04-14-2007 04:55:24
Hey guys tell us if you think you are going to want a 7596, 25º long lug drive cup for your Wico XH or C mag so we can get the current Wico guys to make some more new as these are no longer available right now. The 6274, 25º short lug drive cup is available yet. For some reason JD didn't put out much later about the 7596 lug drive cup that was touted for JD D converted to high compression for gasoline. When Prestolite owned Wico they decided for some reason to discontinue the long lug 25 drive cup so no more were made and that stock is gone now. It probably didn't sell because many didn't know it existed or they still had a big stock of them then. I have ran these other drive cups on Ds before and John likes it better on his B too. Better starting on gasoline. They aren't going to get made if we don't have a demand for them so speak up or don't complain later when you're timing is off and still doesnt' seem right with mag pushed way forward.
