OK, I need a "Real" Nerd here, Im talkin one sportin black horn rim glasses with masking tape, a plastic pencil pocket saver, high water pants n white socks..... .. AND I mean that as a pure compliment!!!!! !!!!! !!

While back I asked how to get my I Tunes Play List (2000 songs and 8400 Old Time Radio Programs) into a workable Word doc file to edit n e mail etc etc. I did so (with help here) by copying the play list in I Tunes,,,,, ,, opened Excel Spreadsheet,,,,, ,,, pasted,,,,, ,,, then saved as a web page,,,,, ,,,,then Edit using Microsoft Word,,,,, ,,,,then save as a doc Word File. It looks great and is a doc word file it says????? ????

Buttttt ttttt ttttt it has all the rows n colums etc (which is what I actually wanted) but which I cant seem to adjust or modify or work in or get a cursor in like a regular plain old Word file even though it opens as Word doc????? ?? (Those freakin colums grrrrr rrrrr)

ANDDDDD D biggest problem its like 14 MB as opposed to maybe 1 MB if it were a simple word file which is too big to e mail

Its all laid out to fit on a page with Title and Artist and Time and Genre colums EXACTLY as I want and has been saved and shows it to be a Word doc file

SOOOOO OOOOO OO anyway to reduce/shrink it down as a 1 MB file????? ???? Seems to me its wayyyyy yyy bigger cuz its some sort of an xls or xml format or something versus 144 pages which ought to be more like only 1 MB if it were pure simple text txt or Word doc file

Help meeeee eeeee pleaseeeee eee

If I e mail it as an xls or xml spreadsheet can anyone convert it to Word doc not so dern hugeeeee eeee with columns for Title, Time, Artist, Genre and NOT be 14 MB????

John T.,

When you paste into Excel, all of the info on each line is put into one column. Within Excel, you must parse the info into separate columns. If you don't, when put into Word, it will think all of the info on each line is one word. If you go into excel and make a test line of info, mixing text and numbers in columns, then copy and paste into word, word creates a table and puts each excel cell into a separate box in the table (what you want I think). So, parse the info in Excel then go directly to word. I would leave out the web file step. If you like, I could look at it for you. Just copy the first few lines of the original excel file and email it to me. I don't want the whole 12M file.
