Just bought a 430W that has a #35 loader coming with it. It is in really nice condition. No breaks/welds. Has only one bad spot in the bucket-no problem to fix. Thoughts? Should we keep it or sell it? Are these hard to come by?
All comments appreciated. Thanks.

Jennifer

I have one I got from an original owner in IN. I have used that thing for the total landscaping around the property that we established in the middle of soy bean field. I am not gonna part with mine. My grandkids will probably sell it for scrap iron lol. But that is my only loader tractor.

I took the manual to a local fab machine shop and they made me a 6 foot wide bucket to use for snow. No more getting stuck in the drifts.

I am not gonna part with mine that slips onto the 58 420, but I only have one deere. I am color blind.

In my opinion that is an extermely nice find.

I have a 430U with a number 35 loader that my uncle bought new. He had a chicken farm and used the combo daily. He put a 5 foot materials bucket on it to handle shavings and all. It is a great addition to the tractor. If you have the stands and quick couplers, it can be taken off the tractor in about 5 minutes and put back on in 10. If your 430 doesn't have power steering you will understand why you might want to take it off. Mine was a trip bucket but I converted to hydraulic. I use it in the winter with the wide bucket to pile snow and did use it to feed cows. I have had to do some repairs on mine but most resulted from my uncle leaving the loader on and bouncing across corrigations. It is a really handy addition to the tractor.

So nice to hear that you still have your Uncle's tractor! Thanks for sharing. Yes, this loader is complete with stands and all. Doesn't look like it has had much use. Yes, the 430W doesn't have power steering. I can see where it will be hard to handle. We do have other Dubuque tractors that can handle it that have power steering. Take care--enjoy!

I know I would like to get a #30 or #35 to put on my M tractor. They are un-common, I would stop short of rare, I've seen a few that were junk from misuse. I have a #45 loader rusting away in the weeds that is of no use on an M, wish I had a penny for every scoop of manure I loaded with that old cuss. If you have some place to keep your loader inside, and a use for it from time to time, it's likely worth keeping.

Thanks Steve for your input. Leaning towards keeping it. I was so impressed on the condition of it. Will have to just make room for it. Appreciate it---Jennifer
