I was wondering how much horsepower one puts out with a turbo?? and how much does a nice looking one bring today as I have found one for less than 7000 dollars with loader

it's a woods-dual loader I have never heard of it but this will be my first loader tractor.

The late 5020's were rated at 141HP. No 5010 or 5020 was factory turbocharged.

Well, no one else has answered your question yet, so I'll take a shot. These older heavy tillage tractors dont have the value of a 4020. Value to you will depend on how much use you'll get out of it, Condition of tires and engine mostly. A 5020 is more expensive to repair than a 4020. Having only a 1000 rpm PTO limits usefulness. Not quite as nimble as a 4020 but no worse than say a IH856. I would say $7000 is near the upper end of value. As far as HP, mine dynoed 149 before I added a turbo. Have'nt dynoed after but I would guess 170 to 200. I have the fuel screw turned all the way. I'm curious, what loader fits a 5020?

We had a 5020 back in the late sixties and early seventies, I don't ever recall anyone ever used the word 'nimble' in any converstion talking about that tractor. One thing about it though, it was a power house compared to our 4020. It just wasn't the right tractor for our operation. With semi-mounted plows and mounted chisel plow, it was just too bulky. Dad traded it for a late 4620, liked it a whole lot better.

Mine has the row crop/swept back front axle. Park it side by side with my 4020 and the wheel base is just about equal. Really surprized how well the 5020 handles for the beast it is.
