the L was not built until 1938. If you have a 38 unstyled L there was a hilder on the side of the driveshaft cover. if you have a styled L there was really no place for it designed to go. I have some archives photos thea show it stuck inside the base and shield assembly on the mag side. Myself I will lay it between the steering post and the left fender, and let it rest on the foot plate. I wouldn't advise this on a restored tractor because it will scratch the paint. I would leave it in the truck.
