I just had the engine overhauled and need to know what the valve settings are, what the torque is on the main bearings, and the torque on the head bolts. the torque on the rod bearings. Appreciate any help you can offer.

jerrycarol,

The manual says to set the valves at 0.030. I have never seen any torque specs for the items questioned. However, the head bolts are the same diameter as that of a JD A so that is what I normally use. If my memory serves, that's about 110 ft-lbs. I would recommend at least as much on the main and rod bolts. Maybe someone else could provide their opinion.
