I bought a M JD that they told me seems to run hot,So,First thing I did was to take radiator off and have it cleaned and checked. Then while it was off I run water in the top inlet, went through good, then did it up through the bottom in reverse and fine. Put it all back together with a 50-50 mix, premixed first. Run tractor around and assumed a bad gauge pegged to hot right away,so I taped a thermometer to outlet, and bottom hose, and stuck one in the inlet of radiator.Outlet was 220*, top of rad. was 215* and bottom hose was 72* on 60* day. Sat for a hour and the top cooled down to 150* and the bottom went to 85*. Does this sound right?Shouldnt it sipon more than that? Do M"s run hot? Any ideas or help????? Thanks

Due to the position of the water temp sensor they will register hotter than they really are. If you search the archives for "M water temp" you will find more info there.
