How do you turn it off? My 3010 had a pullknob that killed it. Do I just lower the throttle until it dies...that seems to work.

One issue, the 3 pt arms do not want to lower on there own. I did notice it is low on Hydraulic fluid, a little below the line

Nice looking tractor, congrats on the purchase.
That is a Schwartz front. Some people will cut down a tractor because it has one on there, but I don't see a problem with them, unless you want to use any mounted equipment such as a loader. But other than that they are fine. In fact, on the older Farmall tractors like the H's and M's the Schwartz is a lot nicer than the IH front axle, in my opinion, just because the tie rods are behind the axle.
The 3pt arms on our 3020 do the same thing in the cold, anything around 30 and below. As long as the oil is on the dip stick for the rear end on that thing unless you are pulling hard with it you should be fine.

If the kill function is disabled or worn out on the handle, you can put a pull lever (like we used to use for chokes on auto"s back in the 60"s, on the dash and hook it to your fuel flow arm on your pump. That"s how mine worked and did ok.

Fluid may be low cause it"s cold. Leaks in mine were easily fixed; consisted of hydraulic connections (where implements connected, or PTO. PTO is a piece of cake since mine had the dual shafts anyway. Pull the snap ring, pull the shaft...little fluid dribbles out, seal is in grove right behind snap ring. Hyd not that hard either.

That looks just like the front-end that we put under dad's 3010 when he retired the mounted picker. Believe it's a Schwartz. They are fine unless you want to put a loader on the tractor. 3-point is just stiff due to cold weather. Looks like a decent 4020.

Your wide front doesn't appear to be a John Deere built one.

I was curious about that. It didn't look exactly right to me. For the low price I paid, as long as it works I am fine with it....

Throttle al the way to the top is the proper way to shut it off if it is an early model. The later models turned off with the key.It should have a knob to pull out on the end of the throttle lever to override a stop. Most are worn out though. The lift may not go down without weight if its cold.
