Trying to buy a JD manual from Deere. Dealer is saying it is no longer offered? Is this true? I at a web site I have found a reprint that states its the same manual as the 720 D. Looking for feedback on this. Is the one for the 720 D the same? Found online for $35.00. at deerlydeparted.com Thanks Joe

I bought a parts manual for my 630 from the JD dealer for approximately $75 plus tax. Found the same thing on ebay, that was a reprint, for $19 plus shipping. Should have looked on ebay first.

I show the SM 2020 offered for the 720D/730D. As was said, the only difference was the sheet metal and a u-joint in the steering shaft.

Deere TechPubs shows SM 2020 still available in paper for $80, CD-ROM for around $40, PC 532 for $60/$30 CD-ROM, and Op Manual OM 2086 for $30/$30. I like the CD-ROM manuals as I can print out a paper one on my duplex printer, toss soiled pages whenever I want.

Anyway, the manuals are still avaiable.

I didn't think Deere ever made one for a 730 ? The 720D one is a good manual except for the real late 720 and the 730 there is some stuff that's different. I recently was trying to find the belt pulley clutch fork adjustment proceedure for a 730 and it wasn't in the 720 manual even though my late 720 has the same setup. I had to breakout the I&T manual and it was in there ! So get both !
