I have a chance to buy a 3020 gas. I was wondering what the "John Deere" guys thought of the 3020. I really do not need a 65hp tractor but I have been told the 3020 has great hydraulics. I'm going to put a front loader on it to move snow. I have a 2010 gas now and I like the size very much. I could go a little bigger. How much bigger is the 3020? I need to be able to get this through a standard garage door. Any input from you guys would be great!

The rubber is good from what I'm told. I have not seen it yet. What should I look for? Thank you very much.

About the garage door - Please be careful backing under low door openings. A split second distraction could be fatal. A cold engine - backing up - engine coughs - tries to die - you grab for the choke - forget door header - steering wheel pins head or neck against header - wife wonders why you don't come in for supper. . . Please be careful.

I don't think a 3020 will go through a standard garage door. The door isn't tall enough to clear essential things like the steering wheel and driver's head and muffler. There's 24 inches beneath the axles... But with loader attached it will move snow quite well.

Expect to need plug wires and plugs and float needle and seat in the carburetor.

You probably want to look for differential lock and a couple remotes on the hydraulics. Though unless its a console model with the hydraulics on the right side, I'd rather use separate valves for the loader. Its not hard to tap the hydraulic pressure and returns and add more closed center valves. Three point and PTO don't help much on moving snow.

You'll want to check to see if the hydraulics die when you push in the clutch. If they do you need a check valve added to a fitting on the outside. About $12.00 in parts.
