I'm a little perplexed about which rear wheel weights are correct for my 1971 3020. It has 15.5x38 rears (part number R48954R). I currently have a pair of A3404R weights for it. However, according to my parts book (PC1115), no such weight is mentioned. It says I need a AR 76448 for a 38" wheel.
Does anyone know the difference between these two part #s? Is the AR76448 a later substitutuon for A3404R? Honestly, all these weights look the same to me. Is there any (visual) difference besides part numbers? I'd like to get the correct weights but if they all look identical, maybe I won't bother. Anyone know for sure? Better yet, can anyone post photos of the difference in weights over the years? Thanks.

Sodly, without looking at the parts book I imagine that the AR part number is for the weight package with hardware. The A3404R weight is what you need. Just be sure to have the weight "timed" to the wheel when you mount it. Many people don't realize that there is a right and a wrong way to mount these weights. They will mount in three different positions but only one is actually right. Look for the small raised place on the weight and a similar mark on the wheel casting. Then line them up and you are there. HTH, Mike
