What type of Wico mag is correct?A,B,C?
Long or short lug?

Need to buy a Hot one as none on tractor.

Wico C may be the correct one, but get the X. Much more reliable and from my experience, can be made much hotter.

1940 John Deere B,
Your tractor came with a Wico AP magneto (from 49200-89999). Or, if you want to use a Wico C or X, get one with a long-lug coupler.
