Well the 620 I picked up last summer that was
stuck started out to look OK. but found out yesterday that the cylinder walls in the right hand cylinder are pitted to deep to clean up with a hone and it was allready bord out .080 witch is I think is the limit I think. So now I have to find another block but befor I do this I would like to see if the rest of the 620 is OK. So I`m going to take my (A) and a flat belt and go belt pully to belt pully with a twist And run the crank
in the 620 witch will run the pump so I can see if the 3 point and pto work. Wish me luck or give me advise. Hinckley Joe

Joe, I had an MT once that sit in rain with no cover on muffler. One cylinder looked good, the other was bad rusty. We honed it and it didn't get the pits out. It still had a good bit of pits but put new rings in it and it ran fine and didn't smoke a bit. Just something to think about. I don't know how the horizontal verses vertical would affect the situation. Good Luck
Nathan

I've left pits in working tractors and never had a problem, never burned oil either. I was brought that you need to burn a little oil anyway to keep top rings lubricated. Any opinions?

The two cylinder block is never at the limit because you can overbore and sleeve back to what ever same you want ,or to match the other cylinder if it's ok
