2240 Final Drive Removal Brake Update

Wow,

Here are a couple of pics from what I just found. The brakes and rings are shot. Something tells me there should be lining on both sides of the brake disk. There is only very little left on the insides, the wear grooves are barely visable. There is no lining on the outsides. It appears the left ring has worn so much that it has worn down to where the dowel holes have come right through.

Looks like that old worn out 2020 I did awhile back ! Wow with all that metal fileings off his hyd. functions should of been shutting down while running as it plugged up into the filter.

Looks like a good call on tearing it apart as you found a PROBLEM. Hopefully all that metal hasn't ruined alot of other stuff.
