I attended the Kruse Bridgeport auction and was shocked at how high some of the tractors sold. When you add 10% buyers premium and tax on they really sold well. Alot of these tractor sold for what a restored tractor sold for a few years ago. Do you feel that the current price trend will continue or are we about at the top as the generation that grew up on these tractors goes away?

IMO, a lot depends on who is buying and how much they are willing to pay. market economy. one friend has several old JD tractors in field ready condition and he uses them on some occasions because that what he wants. if a person really looks around they will find other brands are also high priced. older machinery just seems to command premium prices because they are a piece of past farming history.
