I just found this site and plan to start coming here regular.

I’m currently in the process of restoring the 4 old JD’s on our farm. My great grand dad bought them in and around 1958. We used them up until I was about 15 (I’m 33 now).

I just finished with the MT and am starting on the first A.

Any advice or comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the link, that site is going into my favorites menu.

Here is a pic I took a few weeks ago when I surprised my grandpa after I secretly fixed up his old MT his father bought in 58 or so.

Take a short trip to the JD-H Restoration Site (below), and once there, scan across to ARTICLES 2, then from the drop-downs, select GETTING STARTED.

You will find lots of free technical information that will help you with your "A" tractor. (PatB)

Man there is lots of great info here, glad I found the site.

I just added a www link at the bottom of my posts to my tractor pictures. Can’t post pictures or links in the forum, apparently I’m too new to be trusted.
