I was told that my A needs a DLTX 53 carb. And every info I can find according to the serial number say,s it should have a 53 on it. Problem is , I got what was left of the carb that was on the tractor and it is a DLTX 18

Should I try to get a 53 or an 18????? ??
The 18 has so many parts missing it is beyond a rebuild.

Either list the 18 on ebay and try to get money out of it for a 53 or maybe call one of the carb places in GM or Two-Cylinder and ask if they would take it as partial core. I know 53 show up on ebay every now and again. My .02.
