I just acquired a 76 1020. The seat cushions are totally worn out and I would like to replace in OEM configuration with quality parts. I note several vendors on ebay list them but I am unure of the quality. Does anyone have valuable experience with these aftermarket suppliers or with JD OEM seats?
Thanks,
Jim

I bought a replacement seat for my 301/1020 at teh local Deere dealer for around 75 to 80 bucks. Was not original but looks great and is adjustable on the angle the seat sits on the tractor.

I just went through the same situation on my 2010. From what I found when I was looking:

Aftermarket seat cushions were generally $75-85 plus $25-30 shipping.

JD seat cushions were $105 at the counter (in stock). I couldn't understand why anyone ever bought the aftermarket parts if they bothered to compare prices. I have seen this on several other parts as well.

Go to JDPARTS and if you have registered, you can add the seat part numbers to your cart and see what the actual costs will be.

Good Luck

Scott

Correction on model year...it's a 1967, Dubuque tractor.
