I would first replace the main hydraulic filter that is a large screw on type canister filter that sits horizontal sticking off of the main transaxle unit. Part number AM39653, about $8.00 at your local Deere dealer. Since you have some hydraulics, the filter could be mostly clogged. Cheaper to replace it and know it is fresh than anything else. I've never seen one that clogged, but I don't know the condition of the machine. If that model has wet brakes, as the brake pads wear they can produce debris that can clog the filter with dusty strings. Also, look around the return lines for an inline screen, called a strainer. The tractor type hydrostatic units have one at the intake to the pump, but I can't say for a F935. The parts book does not show one, but I might be looking in the wrong place. It's unfamiliar territory for me.

After he scrapes the crud off the transmission pump, he should see a clear piece of tube in the "c"shaped bracket. Fill to above the clear section. John Deere H20C "hygard" is the fluid
