Need information on street location of John Deere Plow Company in the late 1920s in Dallas, TX. Have engraved picture of approximately 7 story building located on the corner of an intersection. Cars shown on street in front of the building appear to be about 1910 era.

We would appreciate any clues.

You might be able to get some information by contacting Krauskopf Bros. of Fredericksburg, Texas. They are a John Deere dealer that has been in business since about 1893 and Dallas was probably their branch house.

You can find them by going to www.Deere.com and looking in their Dealer Locator section.

Good luck,

Stan

Stan,
Soory to say, Krauskopf Bros in Fredricksberg, Tx. has gone out of business, after all these years. Too bad.

Larry,

I'm sorry to hear that. My one visit there was while my wife was at a conference in San Antonio and I took off one day and went exploring.

Found the Krauskopf dealership and thought I'd add a cap to my collection - they were really nice, and I got a neat "winter" cap - not sure why they had that type, but at least it didn't have earflaps on it.
