It has the 6 speed and the shifter is sitting on the left side neutral position. I can move it up to the gear slots for gears 3 5 and 6 but it won't shift into those gears. It also will not go over to gears 1 2 4 or reverse. It is not stuck in gear. Basically the tractor is unmovable. Any help or insight would be appreciated. thank you

I take it that you have a single shift tractor. If so you probably broke the cross-over fork that shifts from low to high axle...Do you feel the gears sliding on the trans. shafts , or is the shifter just moving around in the "gates" very easy?

I don't feel anything because it won't shift into any of the gears. The shifter looks like a U with braches for each of the gears. It is stuck in the leftside and won't go to the right side or any of the gears on the left side.

About the best thing I could tell you is to jack up the rear of the tractor to relieve any stress or binding that is "goin' on". By working the clutch pulley back and forth, the rear wheels front and back & the shifter it may free up the shifter....I thought it sounded to me like the last time it was shifted it didn't return to neutral....one of our 620's did that and we found the shifter fork split.

You are going to have to take the top off the transmission to see what is going on. I had the same thing and had a busted shifter arm.
