I just looked at a late 1947 M. Serial number 13147. It needs the following to restore: New seat, battery, starter ring
gear, starter drive gear, steering wheel, complete air cleaner assembly, muffler, lights, sheet metal is there, but bent almost
beyond repair (maybe beyound repair). The radiator holds water, but it has been damaged and probably needs to be
replaced. It needs an ignition switch, and sheet metal around the battery box. Tires are OK, very little rust, but needs
paint. It was operated for many years without an air filter, so engine could have extensive wear. I figure it needs between
$1500 and $2000 in parts alone. Asking price is $1500 and I am in Alabama. I offered $700. Question to this
distinguished board is what would be a fair price??? Am I low-balling or is my offer about right?? Oh yea...can I even get
all the parts I know I need???? Thanks for your help...Steve

I wouldn't give anything over $500 if that but that is just my opinion. I think you might be running into more bad than good. You should be able to get the parts you need from the net and your local sources.
