How does the valve train get lubed on this tractor? Is it a gravity flow system fed by splashed oil coming off the governor drive gear or is there a special slinger in there similar to a small engine? Or is there some kind of pressure line/gallery that feeds oil into the gravity flow tube? The top end appears to be not getting enough oil?

Darol, The AO valve train gets its oil from the oil which is carried up the the gears and droped off in a cup inside the govenor housing. This then goes down the external tube to the valve cover. Then it goes thru a small oil tube in the valve cover which drips oil onto the valves and springs. It is not a pressure fed system.

That was my question. The gears do carry the oil up to that little cup inside the housing...there is no "slinger". Thank you very much.
