I recently purchased an early 1020 with 48 loader. After a bit of use I found that it doesnt have live PTO Ichecked clutch adjustment-no problem there. Iremoved the inspection cover in the clutch housing and can see what appears by the parts book as the single clutch! Where this situation is really bothersome occurs when doing loader work which is almost daily-when the clutch pedal is depressed obiviously the transmission pump stops therefore the front pump starves for oil. Iguess my question really is could someone in the past "cheaped out" and installed a single clutch? I know the tractor came from a user who used the loader always always always so doubt that it was speced this way from new.Sure I can split it to see whats going on but this thing runs almost every day. If the 430 W goes back into round bale moving duties for long I think it will have a stroke! if any of you can help I would really appreciate it and would try to return the favour. Thanks Bob.

i was thanking about your tractor ,i beleve
your charge pump is driven by the tran input shaft. how is your loader plumb in,dose the return hose
from your loader control valve go to the tran case
or into the hyd fillter houshing(the way it needs to be). That was the returne oil thin becomes
charge oil. Allso there is a tank over the mane pump that hold make up oil whin the charge pump is off,
need to check it out,a hose go from it to the top of your mane pump.
I hope this will help some
ROBERT
ps if thay did go with a one stage pump your pto will not work at all,and that is ez to check out.
