I have a John Deere L with a hercles engine and a wico model C 909 mag. It will not run on both cylinders. Ihad the mag redone and it still does not run right. Will this mag work on this engine. Please help thanks.

If you have fire to both cylinders you may have a weak valve spring or valve not seating. I have seen many of these little engines with colapsed valve springs.

I believe you have a Wico XH909 Mag.
If not...you don't have a 909 anyway.
Your Cap should have the contacts, where the wires go to the plugs, in-line, up and down, on the left side of the cap, on the end of the cap,not on the side of the cap as some are.
