I have a 3020 D powershift that creeps when the shifter is in neutral (not park). Any ideas what causes this? Also, what color is the dash on new generation JD's--flat, satin or gloss black. Finally, at the end of one axle housing there is a grease zerk--the other end has a plug. Should both sides have a zerk? Thanks for any and all help.

Creeping in neutral is normal, even my 4440 PS
does this. The axle housings came with plugs
from the factory.Your supposed to remove and
give 25 pumps of grease. Can't remember how
often, have to look at your owners manual.A lot
of people just leave the zerts in,instead of
replacing the plugs.

some creeping may be noticed in p.s. tractors especially with cold oil.it creeps forward in 'neutral forward' and back in 'neutral back'.
the tractor shold be easily stopped by a light braking.
if the creep is powerful enough so you need more then a light braking to overcome it, then you may have warped discs in the transmission.
ther are originally plugs on the final drive ends that should be replaced by zerks for the porpose of sevicing the bearings every 500 or 600 hours.

Thanks for the help! Does anyone have an idea about the black paint on the dash?
