I recently bought a loader at an auction {JD 48 i believe} up pressure only and trip bucket. The hoses from both cylinders are hooked together into a quick coupler for the rear outlets. Can i put a double remote valve on this loader so i can put a cylinder on the bucket? If so , where do I tie into the hydralic system? My e-mail is j4jrevels9@cs.com

john what you could do instead of running it out of your remotes you could geta seperate remote that goes to the loader only like mine has(i have a 2510 with a 47jd loader) it has an arm on it that holds the seperate valves so all you have to do is plumb in to ypour tractor underneath i'll send you a pic of mine if you would like so you can see how its plumbed in. so now i can leave the loader on during hay season. john.

Thank you John for responding. My concern is if it was safe to T into the hydralics and if so, where should I do it? I do not want to do it if it might be harmful for the hydralic system? I was going to weld a brace on the frame and a bracket on the bucket so I can put a spear on the bucket to load hay on the trailer- 2 round bales high. I will need to be able to level the bucket/spear as I go up. I could do this with a 2 way valve and a cylinder.

The best way to hook into the hydraulics is to "t" into the pressure circuit before it goes into the scv's, or remove the pipe going into the rockshaft and have a hose made up to "t" off of. On the return side change your filter cover to a ported filter cover. The 50 series utility tractors used a ported filter cover that will work. You will also have to change the bolt. You can either shim the inside of the new cover to accept the old hydraulic filter, or change to a longer filter like on the 30 series. The reason for a ported filter cover is to put the hydraulic oil back into the circuit faster so that the loader doesn't chatter when raising. One more suggestion, when using the loader try to not push the clutch pedal down too long, or you will run out of oil.
