I'm going to remove the rear end and replace the gasket between it and the transmission. Are there any tips that I should know before starting?

if you have the tractor on good level surface, you can use some longer bolts, be cautious and you can seperate just enough to replace the gasket. If you don't want to pull that much apart, you can slightly seperate and use some indian head type sealer, black gummy type and reseal. Wouldn't recommend using any silicone...

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. There's nothing like experience to refer to. Thanks again.

Get someone to help you. it is HEAVY... there are 2 studs that help hold the rear end up after all bolts are removed, so that in itself is a godsend...

Hope this helps!

Karl
