I am still trying to determine which operating manuals to order. I ran across some insurance papers in my dad's things with this info on it: "B" #170-127-1945 "H" #37873-1945
Can anyone out there tell from this information exactly which operating manuals I need? Thanks in advance,
Judy

Judy, the serial number on the newer tractors is on the right side, above the pulley, & under the black plastic box that says WICO. It is written on a metal plate that is riveted onto the tractor. On the older, hand crank tractors, it is on the left side, near the front edge of the flywheel, on a metal plate that is riveted onto the side of the tractor. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Phil. I was able to find the serial numbers with no trouble. When I looked on this web site at the serial numbers page, they do not match up with the years of my tractors. The H is 37873 and the B is 170127. According to the charts, my tractors are not 1945's but much earlier models. I was always told they were 1945's. Am I reading the charts incorrectly? Any clue what is going on here? Is there any place on the tractors that tells the years? Thanks again for your help. Judy

Judy,
It would help a lot if you could get the serial number of the "B". We could probably get you dialed in pretty good then. Or else describe the tractor, I think this may be tricky because you are getting close to the time that the the "B"s were improved. (More horsepower, pressed steel frame, and some other enhancements.)
Any information along those lines will help a great deal.

I have found the serial number for the B. It is
170127. Does that give you a clue about the operating manual? Many thanks, Judy

I would be delighted to give you the serial number for the "B" if only I knew where to begin looking. Can you give me any clues here?
Many Thanks,
Judy

The H is easy. One operators manual covers all year models. It's OM-R2011-D4. You can order them from your dealer or from one of the sponsors of this board. Sorry I can't help with the B.
