My clutch pulley is loose on my 530`s crankshaft. Is it much of a job to replace the bearing/bushing? Are the parts available? I figure I had better find out afore I pull it apart. Thanks

I just put new ones from John Deere in mine. The bushing # is B3761R and the bearing is subbed to # AT151388(old # JD7951).

just went over that problem with my 530, pulled the crank and took it to machine shop. This shop does a lot of custom work, they welded the crank and turned it down to spec for new bearing and eliminated my problem. There are no JD spec for the diameter so take a new bearing along. Yes removing the crank is a hefty job especially if you've not experience. I believe this is a common problem, I don't know why JD didn't fashion a removable race, like they did on the larger tractors.

John, a new bearing & bushing will help a little but the usual point of wear on a 520-530 is the inner bearing race & unfortunatly on the 520-530 the inner bearing race is the crankshaft surface itself. About all you can do is pull it apart & mike the crank & look at the bearing for wear. If it turns out the crank is worn there isn't much you can do about it as any sort of machined inner race won't fit over the splines. There are a lot of 520-530s out there with loose clutch pulleys that function fairly good.
