Wendell, replace the filter/ screen. I tried to clean mine with all kinds of stuff and it looked great, but it just didn't work. Without the screen in place everthing worked just fine. A new screen solved the problem. The hydraulics on these tractors isn't as bad as many people make them out to be, if there is complaining to be done the brakes are a good place to start.

My 2010 has always had the same problems. Very often the steering stops working and I have to clean the filter. A new filter is $60, but it is worth the money. A rubber ring came off the back of the filter once and caused this problem. You may have already done this but if not it may help.
