This is the first post I have ever made to this board. I'm looking at a 3010 that looks to be in very good shape with ONE exception. The tractor is sound with no dents rust etc with good paint. It's evident it has been shed kept. It cranks and runs good with no excessive smoke. You can tell it has been well cared from. Used for haying operations. It has a new clutch, PTO clutch, reworked injector system, reworked hydraulic remote and may be the pump(not sure). There is no oil leaks or fluid leaks on the motor, PTO, etc with one notable exception.

I understand there was a fuel line? that vibrated up under the right side of the engine and that was repaired/replaced? There is a foam material wrapped around the line to keep it from vibrating aginst a hydraulic line. The hydraulic line has started leaking and there is a pretty good drip of hydraulic fluid coming down on the arm that bolts from the front axle? to the underside of the frame. According to the fellow, the leak wasn't there until they broke the tractor and replaced the clutch. You really can't see up there very well and ascertain the extent of the problem. Could this be something as simple as a fitting stressed or cracked from the work on the tractor or could it be indicative of some more serious problem such as pump seals, etc.

The fellow that owns the tractor is a neighbor living 2-3 miles away and known to me.

Any suggestions or comments that can be offered would be appreciated.

Pull the right side screen back and look at the two steering lines there. When you split the tractor for a clutch job, you have to disconnect the steering lines there. They could have left one loose, got it cross threaded or it may just have a flat spot on one of the fittings. That would be the first place I would look. Good luck!
