Okay...I am ignorant on the subject. There is a JD50 for sale on ebay. It has a "modified 801 hitch". It looks like a 3 pt. hitch without the top cylinder. Is this the case? Can you use it for a 3 pt? Any comments on the tractor?

I think I saw this same JD 50 at a reserve of $3,500. The highest bid only got a little over $2,500.
To answer your price question, a man can put $1,000s of dollars in a tractor, it is still only worth what it is worth, and in this case, no more than about $2,600.

I'm selling the JD50 on ebay. The center link setup is a design similar to an M/W setup, also I added the stablizers. All items are bolt on and can be removed. Works perfect for bushog/finish mower/ offers stability that you'll never find with the old setup/double arms, chains. Reserve on tractor is $3250, good strong runner, has electronic ignition, have owned 5 years and is JD all the way except modifications.

How much should I expect to pay for this, by the way? Any guidelines?

I see 50's for around $2200 all the time. The 3 pt is worth $600 or more except it is not original. If all the claims of rebuild are true I would say about $3000. Am I high guys?

The 880 3 pt had a split top link that attached to the lift arms. It also required a special attachment on the inplement top hole. This tractor has a homemade bracket added so they can use a standard top link. Should work OK.
