Oil is not being delivered to the rocker arm assembly via the transfer tube. I disconnected the oil transfer tube, and vent tube from the accessory housing, and the rocker arm cover/air intake. I cleaned and resealed the tubes, still no oil. Where do I go from here.

Johnny, is the governor getting oil to it & are you running the engine at a fast enough speed to throw oil around in the governor housing to end up in the feed pipe to the rocker cover? Not much oil will get to the rocker cover at a low engine speed. It will also take a little time to find it's way to that pipe. Run it at fast idle (WOT) for about 10 minutes & check again.

Clooney I run into an interesting modification on one of my "G"'s when rebuilding the govnor. The flywheel side gov.shaft bearing doesn't get the oil it should, what I found was a very tiny hole was drilled in to oil galley directly above where it couples to the lower line, when I tested the the govenor for oiling there was a fine stream of oilsquirting towards the bearing,of course with the weights spinning around this action realy scttered oil to othe locations as well as the bearing, that's the only one I haave run accross that had this hole drilled in galley, not a bad idea lubes gov. good, could this be a factory drilled hole,or just the work of a concerned mechanic???Gman

Gman, that is interesting about that oil hole & I will have to pay attention to that area on the "G" to see if there are more like it. I have seen everything from a grease fitting to a copper line plumbed to those L/H governor bearings. I believe most were installed on cultivating tractors because they were run for long periods at low RPM's & under those conditions that L/H bearing gets very little oil. I know Deere even offered a kit for the "H" to plumb an oil line from the governor oil line up & over the top of the governor housing to the L/H governor bearing cover to oil that L/H bearing at low RPM.
