Went to start my '51 B after loading my trailer with firewood. Wouldn't turn over at all. Battery checks out fine so I'm thinking it's something with the starter. Any suggestions before I start more in-depth trouble shooting?

Sounds like a burnt starter switch, pull starter and take off switch and clean contact points

Clooney has the right idea. When you tap the starter, don't do it too hard, just enough to break things loose without breaking things off.

bryani, check ALL ground & battery cable connections for corrosion & being loose. You might want to put a volt meter on the big terminal at the starter & try to crank it & see if the battery voltage stays nearly the same while attempting to crank, if not you have a low battery, poor connection or bad cable. If all ok then DISCONNECT battery & pull the starter. If you want a temporary farmer fix try rapping the starter with a hammer a couple of blows if it has stuck brushes or weak brush springs that might get it going and back in the field.
