I'm not complainig but does anyone else think that John Deere's are harder to work on than any other brand? I have a Farmall and my brother has a John Deere A and it seems like everything that needs done just seems to take way longer and be way more challenging.

Not Complaining,

Jess

You can change a clutch in 15 minutes on a hand clutch DEERE. It takes all day on one of those red communist tractors. Need any more reasons? I got plenty. Jason

I have 3 John Deere's a 520 620 and 4020 I had a Farmall 460 and a MF 65 at one time. I know it is easier to work on the John Deere's Also the service manuals and parts books from John Deere are the best in the business.

On the contrary! Half the number of main engine parts on the horizontal 2-cylinder. Access the crankshaft/connecting rods while standing up and without draining the oil. Overhaul the clutch without splitting the tractor... I could go on.

MY 1958 JOHN DEERE 420W NEVER BREAKS DOWN HAD IT OVER A YEAR NOW. RUNS LIKE A TOP!!! I ALWAYS SAY IF IT AIN'T BROKE DONT FIX IT. SO THE ONLY THING I HAD TO DO IS SERVICE IT. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IMPRESSED BY THE WORKMAN SHIP, ATTENTION TO DETAIL, AND HOW SIMPLE THESE TRACTORS ARE. MY GRANDFATHER TURNED OUT CRANKS FOR THESE TRACTORS, NEVER HEARD OF A BAD CRANK.
