I came across a John Deere book on farming and operating farm equipment. Its about half an inch
thick and 5"by 9" with a blue hard cover.
There's no date in the book but tractors look to
be in the mid 40s. Is this rare, and about what's
it worth?
Thanks
Joe

What edition is it? We can figure out what year it was published if we know that. As Kevin L said, they are not worth a whole lot unless you have the First Edition.

A quick way to find out what they're going for on eBay is to get in there and do a search for

Deere +Operation

Type it exactly that way, with a space between the Deere and the + and no space between the + and Operation.

It sounds like an operation care and repair of farm machinery book. They were used in ag classes in schools then. They are worth what you can sell them for--- try it on ebay. There were 28 editions I think. I have 3 and have not paid over 10$ for any but have seen them listed for much more. ps early editions still have horse equipment and later ones get into self propelled combines.
