I was wondering has anyone bought anything from them. And what kind of quality are the fenders and hoods. I am wanting to purchase some for a 1935 JD D. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have gotten a complete set of sheet metal (hood and fenders) form K&K antique tractors for a D. If I'm not mistaken that same company you're asking about makes those items for K&K. The quality of the sheet metal was very good and I was very satisfied. kkantiquetractors.com

Jimmy, you kind of get what you pay for in sheetmetal parts. If you are looking for fenders & hood that will fit with a little finessing & trimming on your part they will fit that bill. If you are looking for original thickness & fenders that look just like the originals they won't. The sheetmetal is a little thinner gauge than original & the seam where the fender tops meet the sides are different. The fenders are slightly narrower on the later un-styled but I'm not sure that holds true on the 35 (you will have to ask). The Hood is thinner gauge than original & that allows the fuel tank seams & shape to show through when the hood is bolted tight but the fit is pretty close (at least on the ones I am familiar with). I guess if money is an issue & you want a decent looking fender & hood that isn't quite original they will be fine. If you want an original look & thickness you will probably have to look elsewhere & spend quite a bit more. If you know what you are looking for you can tell they are repops form about 200 feet.

MORE INFO. Tell me about tired iron and fenders. I haven't heard of them before, adderess, phone # etc. The bottom of my 430C hood is rusted out and to find a good used one, when only 2287 of them where made is becomeing a lost cause. My body guy says he could do something if we can find something soild to weld on to the part just below the screens. He is looking for any 40,420,430 hood off of any tractor as a starting point.

Mike, as far as I know "Tired Iron" only makes sheetmetal parts for un-styled tractors. I'm not at home at this moment, when I get home tomorrow I will find & post the number for you. You might try doing a search for Tired Iron on this site to see if there is a phone number, as I have posted it before.

Jimmy, only you can answer that one! You don't have many to choose from in that price range. If you want to spend a lot more money you can do better.
