Does anyone have an idea on the current value for a wide front end and a rollamatic that are in good condition for a JD 4010? Thanks & Happy New Year!

Dad had to get a wide front end from a salvage yard a few years ago and it was about a thousand dollars for a JD one. You ought to be able to get a narrow end or rollamatic for much cheaper. My opinion is that the rollamatic wasn't all that much better than the straight narrow end unless you were going to be on a lot of little bumps in the ground like a chiseled or plowed field. If I am changing a tire on the front, I definately prefer the regular narrow front.

Thanks for the reply Jerry. My 4010 currently has a wide front end, and I’d like to put a rollamatic on it for tractor pulls. I see your point on the narrow vs. rollamatic, but I also use this tractor for bumpy field work. Anyway, my friend has a rollamatic and wants to work out a deal with me to swap. I heard a good wfe goes for about $1300 and a rollamatic for about $400 and wanted to confirm it. Thanks for the info. I would have never thought they were worth that much. Looks like I’ll get some extra cash to buy some weights.
