Can anyone tell me the thickness of a new brake disc for a 2010? Local dealer says special order only at $65 each and he doesn't know how thick they are to compare with what's on it. The disc's on the tractor have about 3/32" left of the grooves and are relatively clean. Just trying to decide if it's worth the $250 investment to replace them.
Thanks,
-Lee

Not sure of the thickness, but if the mating surfaces are worn & there is little brake action, you may consider milling the brake housing down a bit. When I worked with a Deere dealership, we sent these housings out regularly for milling, as the arrangement can lock into the 'on' position with new discs if there is too much allowable travel. I didn't know they were that pricey - perhaps look at aftermarket, such as TISCO for the discs.
