Deere also sells a shop manual for a B that I have and it is fairly in depth. An A is built basically the same so it can help you too. I couldn't find such a thing for an A. SM2000 comes to mind as the catalog number but I need to check that to be sure. There is a general tractor book that is nice for generators, carbs, and mags plus how to use a screwdriver but it isn't what you probably need. When I called deere, the man on the phone knew just what was going on as he has apparantly a lot of interest in these tractors and has requests for it often.

Jeb:

You can call Deere direct to order with your credit card: 800-522-7448.

My DB1112 lists the operator's manual as OMR2001, and the Parts book as PC675. They don't show a service or technical manual, but perhaps someone else can say if there is a tech book number listed elsewhere. Be sure you get a parts book !

An I T manual is pretty good (around $12-$15), and are available at most of the tractor type stores like Farm & Fleet and such.

Hope this helps !

Frank
