When and where was the 1,000,000th John Deere tractor made?
What model was it?
What emblem on the tractor made it different than any other?

I can only speculate, but rough estimates of the production numbers for the lettered tractors:
D---167,000
GP---31,000
A---300,000
B---300,000
L----25,000
H----60,000
G----63,000
M----40,000
MT---25,800
R----21,000
Sum of above--1,032,000
I would guess that the 1,000,000th was likely built in about 1952 at the close of the letter series(except for the R) and was most likely an A or a B. If you had my copy of TRACTOR DIGEST vol1 nr1 you could count them up and know for sure!

ACCORDING TO DON MCMILLIAN'S BOOK 100 YEARS OF
JD TRACTORS. THERE IS A PICTURE OF A 1993 JD
6400 WITH CAB STATING IT WAS THE 1,000,000 TRACTOR
BUILT AT THE MANNHEIM GERMANY FACTORY. AND ON SOME JD TRADING CARDS FROM AROUND 1994 IT SAYS
A 318 GARDEN TRACTOR WAS THE 1,000,000 TRACTOR
FROM THE HORICON, WI PLANT. THATS ALL I'M AWARE
OF.
