I bought a '52 "B" and it has a 2 1/2 inch tall gas cap on it. It has "BUY CLEAN FUEL KEEP IT CLEAN" on it. Can anybody tell me anything about this. I have never seen one before or sence.
Thanks Norman

As Clooney mentioned, my 40 has a tall gas cap. I think it has something to do with preventing sloshing. They are pricey too, about $30 at the jd dealer.

It might be a Farmall gas cap. They came out with those tall ones back in the early 1980's after the gas tank on someones H Farmall blew up when they were removing the cap. The person sued IHC company. They had a nation wide program to replace all lthe old caps on the tractors with the new one. So if you go to your Case/IH dealer today you will get that tall gas cap.

I have the same type of gas cap on my 1948 B. It was on there when I bought it. First one I ever saw too.

Norman, it probably came off a 40 or 420, they used a tall fuel cap.
