CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME DETAILED INFORMATION ON FIXING THIS LEAK, I AM USING THE CORRECT OIL AND I AM LOOSING MOTOR OIL WHEN I SHUT OFF THE TRACTOR, THE CLUTCH AND PULLEY ARE WORKING CORRECTLY, I KNOW THERE IS NOT A SEAL THERE SO WHATS UP? THANKS

Jerry, what you are getting might be normal for the 39 H. I don't think you are getting engine oil though as the oil behind the clutch pulley is gear oil.
~There is an external oil drain hole in the 1st reduction cover dust shield ( the tin cover behind the pulley) that actually drains the oil that drips into the oil catch trough in the dust shield to the ground. That dripping & draining usually happens shortly after shutdown & leaves about a 3" puddle of oil on the ground.
~The later tractors didn't do that & had a return hole drilled in the 1st reduction cover to drain the oil back into the 1st reduction cover.
~The oil dripping seems worse on tractors that idle with the clutch not engaged & thin modern gear oil makes it worse.
~The other place the oil seems to leak on the H is from the inside of the pulley, the oil gets by the operating sleeve due to wear on the pulley & operating sleeve then collects on the inside of the pulley & drips to the ground when the tractor sits for a while.
