i have one of the first (very early) styled john deere b's. I had flat spokes but someone sold them to another person before i bought the tractor. WOuld Round spokes be incorrect for this tractor. Of course it would not be original on this tractor but...how about on the eary 39 b's was it an option or what ...thanks

The only early styled B that had factory round spoke rear wheels was the BNH, BWH, BWH-40. All with 40" rubber. You have 12 spline axles and the round spokes on the unstyled tractors are 10 spline. You are out of luck unless you can find 40" early styled wheels. GOOD LUCK!!! EXPENSIVE!!! The factory options for you are flat spoked and cast.

The 35 had flat spokes which were usually cutoffs and then the later B had round spokes and some had flat spokes which were forged so any will fit as long as the splines are right size . take a look at mine .http://gatractorboy.tripod.com/

I'm interested in a '39 B that has round spoke wheels on it. I think then you could get cast w/rubber, round spokes w/rubber or steel wheels. I think that round spokes would be correct on your tractor. Good Luck,
Ryan

A few of the early styled A's had round spokes, So the B's might have too. As the axle splines are different than the unstyled, my guess would be that they are really rare.
