If you look on the "tractor values" page the paying price for an A is all over the board. I am looking at a 44 AN SN 545930. The current owner claims to have "gone through the whole thing". It is undoubtedly a beautiful looking restoration. It has all brand new rubber (how much would that be worth), new and working head lamps, pto runs good, started in 4 trys cold (flywheel), says there are 2 hours on the engin. Is there anything I should watch out for, questions I should ask? I did not drive it in all gears yet but will next visit.

I bought a 50 A five years ago for 550 and I now have around 1400 in it fully restored. It seems to me like they are worth a little more than the older ones like you are talking. My best guess would be to try to get it for around two grand but i would be prepared to spend a little more if the owner has a lot of money tied up in it.

What does fully restored mean to you? What was done to the complete tractor to "fully restore" it?

Your tractor you are looking at is a 45, not a 44. Saw a 47 AN at a Agco Allis dealer last year. All in work cloths. Needed tires, rear rims. They were shot!!! Did run. Needed to be rewired. Needed hood patch and new grills. But it was an AN. They wanted $1600.00

It was gone in less than a week.

How much do they want? How much do you want to pay?
